2. Data Processing in Better Lists for Confluence
Better Lists for Confluence is a Forge app hosted entirely on Atlassian’s infrastructure. We do not operate our own servers for this app, and we do not store or transfer customer content outside Atlassian systems.
The app processes only the following types of data on behalf of the user (as a data processor):
- Search input entered by the user (text search or CQL).
- Search results metadata provided by Atlassian (e.g., page title, type, author, creation/update date, space, labels, comment count).
- Macro configuration data defined by the user (e.g., selected columns, sorting, filters).
This data is processed transiently within Atlassian’s Forge platform to display the results inside Confluence. The app does not persist or transmit this data to any external system.
3. Logs and Error Handling
We may access technical error logs via Atlassian’s developer console to troubleshoot issues. These logs may contain limited technical metadata (e.g., error messages, anonymized request identifiers). Logs do not contain end-user content. Access is restricted to our developers for support and debugging purposes.
4. Data Recipients
The app runs exclusively on Atlassian Forge infrastructure. Atlassian Pty Ltd. (Level 6, 341 George Street, Sydney NSW 2000, Australia) acts as the hosting provider and may process data in accordance with Atlassian’s Privacy Policy
We do not share data with any other third parties.
5. Legal basis for processing
The processing of data in the app is necessary for the performance of the contract (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR).
In addition, error logs may be processed on the basis of our legitimate interests (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR), namely to maintain the functionality and security of the app.
6. Storage period
The app does not persistently store customer content or personal data.
Technical logs accessible via Atlassian are automatically deleted by Atlassian after a limited period, typically 30 days.
7. Automated decision-making
We do not use automatic decision-making or profiling.
8. Your rights as a data subject
You have the following rights under the GDPR:
- Right of access
- Right to rectification and erasure
- Right to restriction of processing
- Right to data portability
- Right to object to processing on the basis of legitimate interest
- Right to withdraw consent (where applicable)
- Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
